Bone, July 30, 2025 — The Tapak Suci Student Club (UKM) of Muhammadiyah University (UNIM) Bone has once again recorded a brilliant achievement at the regional level. This time, the UNIM Bone Tapak Suci team successfully secured a proud victory at the Open Tournament Pencak Silat Tapak Suci Phinisi Championship across South Sulawesi, which took place from July 24 to 27, 2025, in Gowa Regency.
The tournament, organized by the Tapak Suci Regional Leadership of Gowa Regency, was attended by various universities and martial arts schools from all over South Sulawesi. In this fierce competition, the UNIM Bone Tapak Suci contingent successfully brought home 1 gold medal and 5 silver medals—an achievement that demonstrates the consistency and dedication of student-athletes in bringing honor to the campus.
This success was welcomed with gratitude and pride by the Vice Rector III for Student Affairs of UNIM Bone, Gunawan, S.Pd., M.Pd. In his statement, he expressed high appreciation for the students’ hard work.
“We are very grateful and proud of the achievements of the UNIM Bone Tapak Suci Student Club. This achievement is concrete proof that UNIM Bone students not only excel in the academic field but are also accomplished in extracurricular activities. Hopefully, this will serve as a trigger to continue achieving at even higher levels,” said Gunawan.
With this accomplishment, the UNIM Bone Tapak Suci Student Club further demonstrates its existence as an active and productive student organization, consistently bringing a good name to Muhammadiyah University of Bone in various regional and national competitions.
