Bone, August 2, 2025 — Muhammadiyah University of Bone (UNIM Bone) once again organized the Baitul Arqam program for university leaders, faculty members, and administrative staff. This initiative is part of an ongoing effort to strengthen Muhammadiyah ideology and internalize the values of Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan. The two-day event took place from August 2 to 3, 2025, at the Muhammadiyah University of Bone campus.
The program was officially opened by the Rector of Muhammadiyah University of Bone, Dr. H. Muhammad Jafar, S.Pd., M.Pd.. In his opening remarks, he emphasized the importance of Baitul Arqam as a means to strengthen the identity of the Muhammadiyah academic community.
“Baitul Arqam is not merely a routine activity; it is a strategic momentum to reinforce our ideological commitment in fulfilling our mandates as educators and service providers within a Muhammadiyah institution,” he stated.
During the event, participants received materials regarding Muhammadiyah ideology, Manhaj Tarjih, leadership from an Islamic perspective, and the Islamic work ethic. The speakers included representatives from the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership (PWM) of South Sulawesi, the Cadre Education Council (MPK) of PWM South Sulawesi, and executives from Muhammadiyah University of Bone.
The Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, Tansini, S.Pd., M.M., revealed that the program was attended by over 81 participants. This group consisted of faculty leaders, heads of study programs, as well as lecturers and staff from various units within UNIM Bone.
“We hope that through this program, the values of Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan will become more deeply rooted in the execution of duties and responsibilities by the entire academic community,” she added.
The atmosphere of the Baitul Arqam was solemn yet remained warm and interactive. Participants showed great enthusiasm in every session, including discussions and worship practices, which are essential components of the program.
This Baitul Arqam program is a concrete step by Muhammadiyah University of Bone toward developing superior and high-integrity human resources who uphold Islamic values in their roles as educators and community servants.
